I am Yakup Bağrıaçık, born in 2002. Since 2017, I have been working with Arduino. During my high school years, I created line follower robots with PID controllers. Additionally, I learned Python and completed several projects using it. After graduation, I attended Ostim Technical University to study Electrical Electronic Engineering. While taking lessons, my friends and I built airplanes and drones.
This school truly helped me develop my skills, not through traditional lessons, but by providing valuable opportunities. Thanks to these opportunities, I had the chance to build drones and successfully sell them to a company.
This school has been instrumental in nurturing my skills, not solely through traditional lessons, but by providing me with valuable opportunities. It was through these opportunities that I was able to develop my expertise in creating PID controlled line follower robots.
Ikartu is a Research and Development company specializing in virtual reality and the metaverse. Additionally, they have previously undertaken simulation projects. This is why they occasionally utilize microcontrollers to simulate real-life scenarios, such as ESP boards. During our initial meeting, they inquired about my interests, to which I expressed a desire to work with microcontrollers. In response, they recommended that I learn about ESP boards. Not only are they cost-effective, but they also offer faster performance compared to most other microcontrollers. Furthermore, they come equipped with an integrated onboard WI-FI + Bluetooth combo, making them even more versatile.
This internship was a tremendous learning experience for me. In the initial days, we engaged in some manual tasks. However, my friend and I noticed that they were facing issues with Arduino boards. We took the initiative to offer our assistance in programming these Arduinos. As a result, we successfully completed two projects over a period of six months. The first project involved developing an ABS brake simulation for technical high school students, while the second project focused on creating a sensor education kit for universities.
This internship became the pivotal point where I began my journey in programming. While still in high school, I had the opportunity to participate in summer internships, and my school arranged for me to join this particular company. Upon arrival, they asked me about my interests, and I expressed my desire to learn programming. One of the engineers suggested that I start by learning Python and assigned me tasks to enhance my understanding. Initially, the tasks focused on sorting algorithms, but as I progressed, I delved into socket programming and even developed a messaging app. This experience laid the foundation for my programming skills and ignited my passion for the field.
After completing our second year of university, we stumbled upon an exciting opportunity at Teknofest known as the "Deneyap Roboleague." My friends and I were truly enthusiastic about this competition because it aligned perfectly with our field of study. We believed that our skills and knowledge made us strong contenders for victory. Consequently, we eagerly participated in an online exam to showcase our team's capabilities. Upon successfully passing the exam, we eagerly made our way to the "Deneyap Roboleague" competition.
I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Ikartu Dinamik, a prominent company in the industry. On my very first day, I participated in an online meeting where I had the pleasure of meeting Ercan Bey, the esteemed founder of the company. To kickstart my internship experience, he assigned me a captivating project dedicated to deepening my understanding of ESP boards and Unity.
